Event Description
TEDxTheGlebeWomen at the Canadian Museum of Nature
Join us at the Canadian Museum of Nature, located in the heart of the Nation’s capital. Started in 1856 by the Geological Survey of Canada, the Museum’s collections include all aspects of the intersectionalities of humans and nature from gardening to gene-splicing.
The building which houses the Museum, known as the Victoria Memorial Museum Building, carries with it stories that depict a microcosm of the larger history of Canada.
We invite you to join us in the theatre of the Canadian Museum of Nature on May 29, 2015.
Tiny Ripples
All talks, performances, and demos will be rooted in our theme: tiny ripples.
Small changes can make a big difference; one person can have an impact beyond their immediate environment. By focusing on this, the intention is to ignite the audience, and the speakers, to focus on their own empowerment and on the ways in which they can be the change they wish to see in the world, to have the effect be larger than the butterfly who flapped its wings and created a Tsunami.
